Today I've chosen a heteronym. Feel free to read the word 'tear' however you like - as tear (as in to rip), or tear (as in to cry). I'm going to attempt a poem about the word in both contexts, just because I am fascinated by the complexities of the English language.
tear(s)
i can't remember the last
time a tear was
torn from my Winter grey eyes.
was it when light
last made the storming sky tear?

Tears
"What's that?" I asked her.
"Saline solution,"
the matron replied,
as she fixed the drip,
"Your wife has lost so
many tears it is
critical that we
replace them. She can
live without hope or
a life or even the
truth as long as she
can cry about it."
I love the way this poem subverts the familiar. It's very poignant :)
