Daily Spark Word: Flight

Today's spark word is 'flight'. As pointed out by Martha, not everybody needs to or wants to write so don't feel afraid of speaking up if you are just reading. If you do want to write, then copy your poem into the comments section or add a link to the poem on your own website.

for years she dreamed of
going
away
she wasn't sure where just
somewhere
away
the world was too far
for her
to see
she dreamed of a flight
that was
fast enough

she cried.

Fight or Flight

Flying is not hard.
Learning to fight is hard.
If you fight you fall.

Falling is easy
but landing is hard.

It happens when you
stop trying to fly
or begin to fight.

Best I can manage today. I've been working on a book review all day and it's late.

Hi Jim and Stella,

Thanks for contributing! I really enjoyed the simiplicity and directness of your pieces.

Personally, I found this challenge difficult (which is strange considering how much I travel!). Maybe I just wasn't in the right frame of mind...?

Cheers,
